Perhaps the ultimate Femme Fatale. I saved this one for last in this series because it took some time to find good reference images that really seemed to capture her onscreen presence. Her look was quite unique, and despite all the dark and dangerous roles, there was something of a strange innocence about her. A very gothic icon to be sure… Hope you all like it.

This is a portrait of Christie Gabriel done to practice more flesh tone and portrait techniques.

Playing with more realist techniques, centering on skin tone and texture this time. It was a rather painstaking process to get a good non-plastic looking skin texture, but it has paid off and I’ve learned a great deal.

Sadly the clear coating that I finalized with yellowed on me, shifting the color quite a bit. This is color corrected.

Feeling very rock n’ roll lately, and wanted to do something that put me in mind of 70s rock art. I saw an image of a woman eating cherries, and thought… that’s it!

I much prefer this one. It is more closely modeled on the proportions and body type of a black widow. The uneven leg lengths add a certain something, and the more strawberry shape of the abdomen make it much more visually striking I think. I’ll go forward with this one.
